ST IVES TOWN COUNCIL
The Bowling Green
The Park Committee reported to consenting the allowing of a piece to be fenced off on the side of the plantation in the Park for a bowling green.
Ald. Ruston moved the adoption, and said the whole expenses would be provided by a few gentlemen who had formed themselves into a bowling club. They had no wish to have the monopoly of the green and any inhabitants of the town could take his bowls and play on it.
Councillor Ellis seconded, and the report was adopted.
