IOG Industry Awards Winners - Best Bowling Green Grounds Team of the Year
Below is the ground maintenance team taking a well-earned break from applying their skills. This skills have been recognised and rewarded by the Institute of Groundsmanship Industry Awards 2015. Our grounds team beat Sunderland Bowls Club for the title Best Bowling Green Grounds Team of the Year.
An independent evaluation took place, including an inspection of our green. There was also an Oscar-style awards dinner at the Birmingham Metropole Hotel on Wednesday 4 November. Our trusty representatives were amongst grounds staff experts from the likes of Manchester United FC, Essex County Cricket Club and Murrayfield Rugby Union. Awesome!
You can read the IOG press release and view an image of the trophy below. Well done David, Ian. Tony, Ron Derek and Don!
